Planning your Cabo San Lucas vacation

For a lot of people, Cabo San Lucas’ beginnings are rooted in the resort and tourism boom that began nearly 30 years ago. Cabo San Lucas’ inception, however, began before the dawn of luxury resorts, golf courses, and tequila. The Pericu came to the area across land bridges between Asia and North America. Years later, Spanish conquistadores and pirates began to settle in the region. In the 1900s, Americans discovered the cape’s natural resources, and began to fish in Cabo San Lucas. In the 1970s the Mexican government began to pour money into the area when the Transpenisular Highway was built. In the 1980s came the construction of the Los Cabos International Airport. Cabo San Lucas also got a boost when stars like John Wayne, Bing Crosby, and Desi Arnaz began to vacation in the area. Now, Cabo San Lucas is one of the main tourist destinations in Mexico. Golfing, fishing, or just plain relaxing, there’s plenty activity for guests here.
